Hello friends!

So glad you stop by again, always a pleasure to have you here.  I can't believe its birthday time again for my son.  It feels like just three months ago we celebrated his eleventh birthday with a Star Wars theme.  If you missed that one click here to see it.  This year's theme comes from his love for basketball and being a player on his school team.  My son is always shooting ball in trash bins until we decided he needs a hoop over his bedroom door and now he has a full size one in the backyard.  It's his joy and happiness and hands down his favorite sport, so this year's theme had to be  basketball.  He is true to his hometown team the Chicago Bulls and is obsessed with Jimmy Butler.  I chose orange, black and white for the color palette.  I pick up basketballs in various sizes  that I used as decoration and Spalding is the official brand for the NBA so we had those too.  This is a very cool theme and I tone down the orange and black with more white so the main focus,  the basketball pops and eye catching.  Lets jump into the post.

First off, Oriental Trading is one of my favorite go to store for all your party goodies.  No matter how hard to find items for your particular theme I guarantee you will find something that can work for you.

This dessert table is styled with the basketball hoop from over his bedroom door with balloons floating through the rim hanging just above his fantastic Spalding basketball cake.  He isn't a fan of sweets so I made the table simple with his favorite one.

Welcome sign is always a must on our sat high on the backboard of the rim.

This cake is everything and was the most highlighted detail on the dessert table.

These cute little container that holds the gumballs are from Bulls eye Playground at Target.

Treat table is so fun with favorite snacks.  These cute snack baskets are made to resemble the basketball backboard with rim and net.  The talented Elva M Design Studio created the printable and I attached them to a paper straw.  The kids loved it and thought it was so cool.  Custom labels for the Gatorade bottles was also from her.

Custom labels are my favorite and Elva M Design Studio know how to be creative.

These backboard straw flags are the cutest and adds the best touch to a plain mason jar.

This favor table is one of my favorite the favor boxes and pens are from Oriental Trading. Add a little ribbon and it makes everything looks better especially when their is a custom label that reads "Hope you had a BALL".  The kids were excited to their favors.

I'm a big fan of balloon garland and I got all these balloons from Oriental Trading

For the place setting i used black dinner plates with orange Spalding basketball dessert plates along with a black napkin with orange knife, fork and spoon secured with a basketball theme whistle from Oriental Trading.

Hope you had a ball reading this post and will see you in my next one.
